Solidarita s New Orleans
Tyto částky pak budou soustředěny a odeslány z účtu ČPS najednou. Učiňte tak proto prosím nejpozději do konce října 2005, aby pomoc mohla přijít včas.
Všem dárcům děkujeme.

Přikládáme dopis od presidenta IPA:
FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE IPA, DR. CLAUDIO LAKS EIZIRIK
Dear Colleagues,I have been very concerned, as have many members, by the tragedy in New Orleans and the surrounding areas. I sent a message of sympathy to Jon Meyer, President of the American Psychoanalytic Association, and I have heard from some members who have been caught up in these events. I understand that all our members survived the hurricane, although many will be severely affected by its consequences.
The Board has given consideration to this and what the IPA might do. I have one or two concrete suggestions from Representatives and will be following these up in due course. I would also like to inform you of the action already taken by the American Psychoanalytical Association.
In a message to the members of the American on 1 September, Jon Meyer suggested that they might consider making donations either to the fund specifically established by the American Red Cross, or to the Psychoanalytic Assistance Fund (PAF). The PAF is a fund of the American and all donations will be used to support members of the American and IPA members who are affected by this disaster.
For donations to the American Red Cross, the following link to their website can be used:

For donations to the Psychoanalytic Assistance Fund, the following link to its website can be used:

If you think this would be a useful way of helping, your contributions of any size will be greatly appreciated. If you wish to convey very brief messages of sympathy or support to your colleagues in the affected areas, please send them in reply to this email. The IPA's office in London will then collate the replies and send them on in due course.
Finally, this tragedy has alerted me to the need for the IPA to be attentive in seeking ways to help our members and others caught up in such terrible events. The IPA Board will consider how the IPA might address such issues in the future.
Kind regards,
Claudio Eizirik
IPA President
